Information system for diagnosing Neonatal Jaundice using rule-based algorithm

Neonatal jaundice often occurs in newborns characterized by a yellow discoloration of the sclera and baby's skin due to high levels bilirubin blood. The occurrence needs done identified development hyperbilirubinemia which has potential become toxic that can cause kernicterus. Detection manual (visual) is still parents health workers, so results diagnosis obtained are less accurate. This study proposes an innovative used information systems detecting using SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) method with waterfall model. Retrieval data this quasi experiment non-probability sampling consecutive on 48 newborn respondents. result indicate system been built detect faster as much 2.1 minutes accuracy rate 91.7%, provide appropriate solutions effective level use 90.5% be innovation helping overcome problems.
